While consuming MCT Oil by itself is NOT capable of magically melting away fat and excess weight, it has been shown to be effective at reducing hunger and promoting a feeling of fullness. Studies have shown that it can increase the release of the hormones peptide YY and leptin which can lead to feeling satiated sooner.
A study in the Journal of Physiology & Behavior found that participants that consumed 2 tablespoons of MCT oil with breakfast tended to eat less at their next meal for lunch due to feeling full earlier than the control group that did not.
